Interact with the button to call the elevator. Keep going until you reach an elevator in the back of the garage. Move straight forwards from here and enter the parking garage. You'll come to a point where Jill has to crawl through a narrow opening, then you'll be out on the streets of Raccoon City again. Keep moving (don't waste ammo here, ignore the racket behind the fence). Be sure to grab the Handgun Ammo off the barrel nearby the door before going through the door itself. Move around the shipping container he's hiding in, you'll see a door off to the right. Exhaust all of his dialogue, eventually you're forced to leave him to his fate. You can harass him for a bit (Jill is really trying to do her job as a police officer here) but he won't come out. No matter how much you try and persuade him, he feels safer in his shipping container and refuses to come with you. Jill will climb under the sign and you'll be on your way, forwards and left, through a metal gate and into the alleys of Raccoon City again. Follow the path until a large sign falls and blocks your way.
Turn right and keep moving, the zombie won't be close enough to grab you. But let's test that out later, you only have 5 bullets it would be better to evade this zombie and save those bullets for later. And just like in the RE2 Remake, letting the reticule get "sighted" in before firing will deal more damage/have better accuracy.
#RESIDENT EVIL 3 WALKTHROUGHS HOW TO#
A zombie will appear behind you and the game will basically tell you how to use the gun, it's standard fare: to aim, to shoot. Keep moving, you'll find a corpse with a Handgun and Jill will pick it up. Move forwards but stick to the left to evade them and trigger another cutscene. Move forward out of the alley and into the street, where you'll trigger another scene and be introduced to Brad Vickers (Brad flew the helicopter in the original RE game, so he's a survivor, just like Jill Valentine). Also, you'll pop your first RE3 achievement. One more cutscene and you're finally out of that cursed apartment building. Once again, hold and move towards the exit. Move down the fire escape, you'll trigger another cutscene. When you regain control of Jill, hold and keep moving until you reach the door at the end of the hallway.
Move straight through the unfinished apartment room for another scene. Move down the fire escape and climb back into the apartment building via another window with yellow tape. Move straight through the apartment and out the open window (notice the familiar yellow tape). Hold and Jill will automatically duck into a neighboring apartment. You're in the hallway outside Jill's apartment now. When it ends, you'll be in an intense situation. Move around the bed and interact with the phone for a cutscene. Exit the bathroom and move back into the bedroom.
When it ends, you'll finally be in third-person mode. Interact with the light switch above for another short scene. In fact, that's the last collectible for awhile. I promise that all of the collectibles are NOT in Jill's apartment, despite what this might look like. Do a 180 from here to find File (4/56): Message from a Colleague next to some leftover pizza. There's a radio, some CD's, and another File on top, File (3/56): Unsealed Envelope.
Strafe left another couple steps to reach a dresser. Grab File (1/56): Jill's Report immediately to the left of the switch, then strafe left a bit more to find File (2/56): Investigation Notes. Interact with the light switch on the wall by pressing (you should see a red light where the switch is). When you regain control of Jill, strafe left from her desk.
